Vision
To become a national leader in Conservancy management. We aim to instil in all our members, partners and visitors a deep sense of ownership and pride in our unique natural heritage and a realisation of its intrinsic and environmental value.
Mission
To conserve the unique natural heritage of the Fransmanshoek Conservancy, in partnership with all its people for the benefit, well-being and enjoyment of present and future generations.
To accomplish our mission our objectives are to:
- Co-operate with authorities in respect of the management of the conservancy.
- To raise funds and use such funds for the promotions of the organisations activities.
- To preserve and improve its natural assets.
- To manage the conservancy for the mutual benefit for present and future generations.
Goals
- To conserve and protect the fauna and flora (terrestrial and marine) of the Fransmanshoek Peninsula and surrounding areas.
- To maintain the biodiversity of both the terrestrial and marine environment, in and around the Fransmanshoek peninsula and to promote a clean and healthy environment to members of the public.
- To engage and create partnerships with other conservation bodies and local stakeholders.
- To advertise and promote the value and importance of the natural environment to residents and members of the public.
- To improve law enforcement awareness in the area and to provide a visible law enforcement presence.
- To provide environmental education, for local schools, the farming community, landowners and visitors to the area.
- To consolidate the conservation worthy land and to enhance the conservation status of the area by creating biological corridors along the coast.
- To strive for the eradication and/or the control of alien invasive species (fauna and flora) from the area.
